It has now been revealed that parts of the upcoming Doctor Who special, Planet of the Dead, will be filmed in Dubai. Dubai is part of The United Arab Emirates and has a very humid climate which will provide some great new footage for the episode. Today, The Doctor Who production team and cast including David Tennant and Michelle Ryan flew out to Dubai for three days of filming which will start tomorrow. Location filming in Cardiff has now been completed and the scenes in Dubai and in the BBC studios are the only scenes left to be filmed. Planet of the Dead is written by Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts and will be broadcast at Easter time on BBC One.
