Today sees the official DVD release of the first of this year's Doctor Who specials, Planet of the Dead. The episode which was broadcast on Easter Saturday stars David Tennant as The Tenth Doctor and Michelle Ryan as the Lady Christmas De Souza. Planet of the Dead is the first Doctor Who story to be released on Blu-ray DVD because it was filmed with high definition cameras. Planet of the Dead is out on DVD and Blu-ray across the United Kingdom and Ireland now, the DVD at a regular retail price of £12.99 and the Blu-ray at a regular retail price of £15.99.
