BBC Audio recently revealed the covers for the second and third of this year's Torchwood radio plays; Golden Age and The Dead Line. Both audios feature the voices of John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Llyod who star as Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones in the TV series. Golden Age will recieve its radio debut on the 2nd of July and The Dead Line on the 3rd of July, both in Radio Four's afternoon play slot at 2.15pm. The Torchwood team head for Delhi on the trail of a dangerous energy field, in Golden Age, written by James Goss, the second part of this brand-new series of extraterrestrial investigations starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd. The Dead Line
When a Cardiff hospital is inundated with patients who have fallen into coma-like trances, Torchwood moves in to investigate in the third part of this brand new series of extra-terrestrial investigations starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd. The trances appear to have been triggered by phone calls, all received on retro phones and made from a number that hasn’t been active for more than 30 years. Determined to find out who’s been calling the unfortunate victims, Jack rings the mysterious number – two, zero, five, nine. It seems to be a dead line … until Jack is called back. The third and final episode, The Dead Line, is written by Phil Ford.
