Russell T Davies, the head writer of Doctor Who and creator of Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, attended a screening of the first episode of Torchwood: Children of Earth last night. He took part in a question and answer session with the cast and crew of the new series and revealed that plans are currently being made for a fourth series of Torchwood. Russell T Davies stated that the BBC would only commission a fourth series of the adult SciFi show if they were happy with the ratings that the third series achieves when it is broadcast in July on BBC One. Gareth David-Llyod who stars as Ianto Jones in Torchwood recently revealed that if a fourth series is commissioned, it would return to the thirteen episode format rather than the five episode format which is being used for the new series. More Torchwood series 4 news will be posted here when it is released.

I hope they make a series four!
I hope they do too, as Torchwood is extremely well known now, it's almost as popular as Doctor Who itself! For it to suddenly stop would be extremely upsetting.

I hope it has a fourth series! Torchwood deserves to be a sci-fi show that runs and runs and runs for years!
