BBC America have now announced the ratings that Torchwood: Children of Earth achieved when it was broadcast in America last month. The series which was broadcast across five consecutive nights was watched by an average of 705,000 viewers each episode, with the last episode of the five part series achieving 847,000 viewers. The ratings for the final episode are the highest that BBC America have ever gained in all of it's years of transmitting programmes across the US. The series that starred John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness, Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper and Gareth David-Llyod as Ianto Jones is currently available to buy on DVD across the United Kingdom, Ireland and America.
