The BBC Press Office have now confirmed the dates of broadcast for the upcoming third and fourth Doctor Who specials, The End of Time. The first part of the story which will see the departure of David Tennant as The Tenth Doctor will be broadcast on Christmas Day, like previously rumoured, from 6.00pm until 7.00pm. The second part of The End of Time will be transmitted at 6.45pm until 7.55pm on New Year's Day 2010 despite the fact that the specials were up until now known as 2009 specials. Both Doctor Who specials will receive their transmissions on BBC One and on BBC HD, and more news regarding them will be posted here when it is available.
