BARB, the Broadcasters Audience Research Board, have now revealed the final ratings for this year's Doctor Who New Year special, The End of Time part two. The episode starring David Tennant as The Doctor, Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott, and John Simm as The Master, was watched by 11.79 million people when broadcast on BBC One last month, with a further 0.48 million watching on the BBC HD channel, bring the total count to 12.27 viewers. It was recently revealed that the special received an appreciation index of 89, two higher then it's preceding episode, The End of Time part one, which received an appreciation index of 87 after it's Christmas day broadcast.
