Silurians Return In Doctor Who Series Five

Scottish actress, Neve McIntosh, recently spoke to the Perthshire Advertiser about her role in two episodes of the upcoming fifth series of Doctor Who, and what she thinks of Matt Smith's role as The Doctor. She revealed that reptilian race originating on Earth before Humans, the Silurians, who appeared in the Third Doctor story, The Silurians, the Fifth Doctor story, Warriors of the Deep, and in a cameo during the recently broadcast Tenth Doctor story, The End of Time, will be returning in the episodes she appears in. Speaking to the Perthshire insider, Neve McIntosh said: "I think Matt’s going to be really good, the best yet out of the new guys, and plus the stories have got a bit darker. I play twins, and they’re big lizard warrior women, one of the Silurian tribes that have been undisturbed under the Earth. And of course we get disturbed!” This suggests that Neve herself will be portraying Silurian twins in the upcoming series five episode which will transmit this Spring.

I'm glad Moffat has decided to bring back a classic monster, its cool tradition :)

Sounds great. I love the Silurians (the best monsters to come from the 70’s after Davros and the Sontarans). I just hope they have the third eye (and not being used as something so viewers know they are speaking like in Warriors of the Deep).
