The End Of The Gallifrey Vortex, Thankyou

This post is the hardest one I have written for this website, and it is unfortunately, also it's last. I have recently been thinking, and have come to the decision that I will be closing The Gallifrey Vortex today, after having many long and difficult thoughts about it. As upset as I am about closing the website, I know that it is for the best, as I sadly no longer updating and enjoy other things more than blogging now. I set up The Gallifrey Vortex on January the 8th 2009, at the age of twelve, and over one year on, on May the 30th 2010, at the age of thirteen, the fun of writing posts has been lost. The website was a big part of my life, and I always made the effort to come online every day to update with the latest news, but recently I haven't updated as much, with many other Doctor Who websites being faster sources. But looking on the brighter side of things, I would like to thank every single visitor who made this website what it was, and I really appreciate what you did for it. I could not leave though without thanking someone very special hugely, who has helped me with this website, and the sites I have had before, because he has been a really great friend to me, and that person is Conor from Tardis Base. I recommend you visit his website as your new source for Doctor Who, as it is updated with many posts daily. Other people I would like to thank are: Rob, Meg, Mark, Axlart, Luke, Patar, Vortex, and many more. This is now the end, so I would again, like to thank everyone who has visited, and hope to speak to you all in the near future.

This site has always been a wonderful source for Who goodness, and I can tell that you meant every word you say in this post. It's unfortunate you don't feel the joy in writing the posts anymore, but I hope you enjoy whatever you get up to next, and I will miss reading your posts and visiting the site. Thank you and goodbye Gallifrey Vortex, you will be missed!

Conor.

First, thank you for all the hard work you've put into this site. My husband and I have enjoyed learning our Who and related info from you since nearly the beginning of your posting. You have a grace and maturity about you that made following your blog a pleasure, not to mention how much I appreciate the respect you show for other Who fans.

Second, I had no idea you were so young and it makes me all the more impressed that you were able to do here what you have done. I certainly can't imagine my 13 yo self managing to pull off something of this size. Enjoy your extra free time!!

Who even cares? There are 101 other Doctor Who blogs out there with the exact same drivel. You're doing yourself a favor mate.

One of the best sites from which I was making reference in my Blog, because your work is excellent and complete.

Is really SAD you're going, despite the opinion of some other people, and is also SAD you won't come back.

Anyway, I wish you the BEST on everything you do... still with a little hope to see you around The Whoniverse.

I'm really sad that this place is closing down, I'm going to miss it. About three times a week and during the DW episode I would be on here, as this is one of my favourite places.

Good luck with whatever you do,
Ryan (Sora)

Thank you for running a very professional, informative, and intelligent blog. Your talents are far greater than one of your age should posess. You will go far and succeed at whatever you put your mind to.

Thank you for the many great posts, and all the good information you were able to find and share.

This website was 'the one' I always checked before other websites, that and Tardis Base. I have enjoyed your posts throughout the months, and love how you don't make them too formal and too informal.

Spot on, this site. Long live TGV!
