The Vampires Of Venice Overnight Ratings

BARB have now released the overnight ratings for the sixth Doctor Who series five episode, The Vampires of Venice. The episode, which saw The Doctor and Amy Pond take Rory Williams for a travel to sixteenth century Venice, where they encountered the vampire-like Saturnynian, managed to pull in 5.9 million viewers when broadcast on BBC One. An additional 0.2 million watched it in high definition over on BBC HD, bringing the total count to 6.2 million viewers. This episode got 30.6% of the audience share, and was the second most watched programme of the day, again being beaten to first by Britain's Got Talent, a recurring theme. Official ratings to come.
