Richard Curtis to Write for Series Five?

The British tabloid newspaper, The Sun, are today reporting that Richard Curtis is writing a script for the fifth series of Doctor Who. Richard Curtis is well known for his work on many television shows such as The Vicar of Dibley and Blackadder, and many films such as Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral. In the Sun's report, Richard Curtis was quoted as saying:

There will be a monster. And a famous historical figure will battle the monster. It's tremendously good fun and a treat for my children. These days the things you can watch together as a family are much fewer so when you get something like Doctor Who or The X Factor, it is such a pleasure to sit down as a family. Maybe it's a desire to get out of being old. Sometimes you do just love the idea that you could go back in time and change things."

The BBC have not confirmed this so it may be untrue, but any news regarding the possibility of Richard Curtis writing for Doctor Who series five will be posted here, on The Gallifrey Vortex, when available. What are your thoughts on this?
