The Last Voyage Audio CD Cover

BBC Audio have now revealed the cover and new synopsis for the upcoming Doctor Who audio adventure, The Last Voyage. The Doctor Who story was written exclusively for audio CD by Dan Abnett, and is read by David Tenant, well known for his role as The Tenth Doctor in the television series. The audio's cover can be seen above, and the newly released synopses for it can be read below:

The TARDIS materialises on board the maiden voyage of a pioneering space cruiser, travelling from Earth to the planet Eternity. The Doctor has just started exploring the huge, hi-tech Interstitial Transposition Vehicle when there is a loud bang, a massive jolt and a flash of light. Shortly afterwards, he discovers that nearly all the passengers and crew have disappeared. Unless the Doctor and flight attendant Sugar MacAuley can take control and steer the ship, they could crash-land – or keep slipping through space forever. And as if that wasn’t enough, something awful awaits them on Eternity.

Doctor Who: The Last Voyage will be released on audio CD across the United Kingdom and Ireland on the seventh of January 2010 at a regular retail price of £7.99, joining the other exclusive Doctor Who audio stories: Pest Control, The Forever Trap, The Nemonite Invasion, The Rising Night, and The Day of the Troll.
