Doctor Who Dreamland Animation DVD

BBC DVD have now revealed the cover and some details for their upcoming DVD release of the Doctor Who animation, Dreamland. The six-part animation, featuring the voices of David Tennant as The Doctor and Georgia Moffett as Cassie Rice, was shown at first in Autumn 2009 on the official Doctor Who website and then on the BBC's Red Button service. The DVD's cover can be seen above, and the DVD's official synopsis for the new animation can be read below:

Stumbling across a mysterious alien artefact in a local diner, the Doctor is led to Area 51, also known as Dreamland, the US’ most secret base. He then finds himself on a momentous mission to rescue Rivesh Mantilax from the threat of the ruthless Viperox and the clutches of the American military.

Created in eye-catching high-definition 3-D animation, the series sees the Doctor, played by David Tennant, hook up with two new companions – Cassie (Georgia Moffett) and Jimmy (Tim Howar) – and pits him against a new alien race, the monstrous Viperox, led by Lord Azlok (David Warner).

Doctor Who: Dreamland will be released on DVD across the United Kingdom and Ireland on the second of February, being sold at a recommended retail price of £12.99. The DVD will also include Doctor Who: Greatest Moments, a series taking a look at some of the best Doctor Who scenes featuring The Doctor, his companions, and his enemies. Will you be buying this DVD when it goes on sale?
