Doctor Who Series Five US Broadcast Date

The BBC have now revealed the date of which the upcoming fifth series of Doctor Who will be broadcast in America. The series will receive it's first transmission in the United States on BBC America with The Eleventh Hour on Saturday the seventeenth of April, two weeks after the series is broadcast for the first time in the United Kingdom. The first episode of the series, running for approximately one hour, sees The Eleventh Doctor, as portrayed by Matt Smith, shortly after his regeneration, meet Amy Pond, as portrayed by Karen Gillan, for thirteen brand new episodes which will see them encounter alien threats such as Daleks, Silurians and Weeping Angels.
