The official ratings for The Eleventh Hour, the first episode of Doctor Who series five, introducing viewers to The Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond, have now been revealed by BARB. The episode, written by Steven Moffat, managed to pull in 10.08 millions viewers when it was broadcast on BBC One and on the BBC HD channel last month, an increase of 2.8 million on the overnight ratings of 8 million. The final ratings for the recently broadcast second episode of Doctor Who series, The Beast Below, will be released by BARB shortly, and will then be posted here, on The Gallifrey Vortex, after.
