Victory Of The Daleks Mark Gatiss Interview

SFX recently interviewed Mark Gatiss, the writer of this Saturday's episode of Doctor Who, Victory of the Daleks. Mark Gatiss previously wrote the series one Doctor Who episode, The Unquiet Dead, and the series two episode, The Idiot's Lantern, and appeared in the series three episode, The Lazarus Experiment. An extract from his SFX interview can be read below:

“I was initially intimidated by the thought of doing the Daleks after all these years, but then I suppose I’ve always had an idea of what I’d like to do with them. They are, weirdly, an inherently World War II feeling creature. The Nazi connection is there, and also the world of the early ’60s is very heavily post-War – they feel like they belong to it. There’s a nice match to it.”

Mark Gatiss has also revealed that as well as writing the episode, he will be appearing as a Spitfire pilot when it is broadcast on BBC One on Saturday at 6:30pm and at 8:25pm on BBC HD. The interview will be released by SFX in full on Friday, available on their official website. What do you think of this interview?
