The Hungry Earth: What Did You Think?

Earlier tonight saw the first broadcast of The Hungry Earth, the eighth episode of Doctor Who series five. The episode marked the new series revival of Earth's previous inhabitants, the cold blooded race known as the Silurians, who have returned after a Human drilling programme awakened them in 2015. What did you think of the new Silurian design? Did you think their return was satisfying? Did they live up to their older appearances? What did you think of the episode's plot? What do you think will happen next? What did you rate it out of ten? You can leave your thoughts on these and more by commenting below. Appropriate comments will get published.

Lovely colours on the new design of the Silurians. I would of been very scared if I was Amy Pond, especially when she was locked in that coffin like room.

Future Amy & Rory wavin? Gotta be series arc.

the eyes are human eyes though so they look stupid on silurians

it would be cooler if the masks were their faces

this was one of my favourite so far it had that classic who build up of suspense and borrowed many aspects from the Jon Pertwee era, the dome force field from the Daemons, the mine/drilling into the earth from the Green Death & Inferno, the green infection from the Green Death and I really like the Silurians - with their grey alien masks - i think the third eye will be behind that portal on their foreheads
really looking forward to next weeks episode - will post my full review then

Chris Chibnall did not do the Silurians justice, they were nothing like they used to be. I hate how the new series of Doctor Who makes aliens look so human, just look at the eyes! I really really really do not like the new Silurians, and on that note, the new Daleks look terrible. I may come across very criticising, but I care about the show, and don't like seeing things like what has happened with the Silurians. I'm praying Chris proves me wrong in part two.

Slow episode, but was worth the build up to Cold Blood.
