2Entertain have now revealed the cover for the upcoming DVD release of the classic Doctor Who story, The Keys of Marinus. The six-part adventure which was the fifth ever Doctor Who story to be broadcast starred William Hartnell as the First Doctor, Jacqueline Hill as Barbara, William Russell as Ian and Carole Ann Ford as Susan. The Conscience machine has the power to control the minds of everyone on Marinus, and it is in danger of falling into the hands of the sinister Yartek, leader of the alien Voord. To prevent disaster, the TARDIS crew must recover the machine's operating keys, hidden in various locations around the planet. Others have attempted this task before - but none have ever returned.
The DVD will include special features such as a photo gallery, trailers and commentary with William Russell, Carole Ann Ford, director John Gorrie and designer Raymond Cusick. The Keys of Marinus will be released across the United Kingdom and Ireland on the 21st of September and will be sold at a regular retail price of £19.99.
